Racing is conducted for 1/10th scale electric powered on road cars, in accordance with the Club’s Rules and Regulations. Our race calendar is made up of 4 series with each series made up of 5  race meetings. A race meeting typically has 5 to 6 classes competing, with each class running in five 6 minute races.

New members compete in the Novice class for a minimum of 5 race meetings before being able to move up to more competitive and powerful classes, however this is at the discretion of the Committee. A Novice would progress to Pro Tourer before being able to compete in the F1, 21.5Turn, 13.5Turn classes. The Committee assess a driver’s skill level and racing ability before allowing progress through the classes. This is to ensure drivers have the necessary skill level to compete in the faster more competitive classes, which can help reduce accident damage to all cars. During your race, other drivers act as marshals around the track to keep the cars on all 4 wheels after crashes and excursions off the track that do occur. All drivers perform marshalling duties throughout a race meeting.

The club has all the up to date equipment to run race meetings. The Club's lap top runs a software program that is hooked to an electronic decoder, an amplifier and speakers. Each driver’s car information (Driver, Class, Radio Frequency, Transponder Number) is loaded into the race software (Alycat) and once the meeting commences, the computer runs the day, announcing the next race in the schedule, calling drivers to the grid and marshals to position, announcing finishing positions and generally making life easy for the Race Director. Each car has a Transponder (AMBrc type) fitted and there is a wire (called a Loop) embedded in the track surface that electronically records each transponder that crosses the “loop”. All the information is taken into the race software and records car details, laps completed and lap times. At the end of each race, all the details are displayed on a monitor for drivers to view and following each race meeting, results are posted on our website.
